Even in a system where one participant has an absolute advantage ( Partner A's unit of output per unit of input is greater than Partner B's ) for every widget produced, there is still an advantage for Partner A to trade.

I would assume what you're trying to say is, "what, if there is any need that we have, do we as Americans trade for with any foreign countries at this time"?
If that is correct, then I would say "cash".

Trade without my country would make you worse off.The whole system works on cash,line of credit for cash and generating the flow and movement of cash.Without this formula our systems would collapse.Gotta stir the pot.
