SWEET? As in overly nice.

I rather someone be too sweet to me than be too mean. But, yes, it is possible.

Uhm..... I suppose when you notice that others are taking advantage of your kindness. When they know they can count on you because you are too nice to say no. (Even though you soooo might need to) But that's only a problem if people do it over and over. It might be a problem being overly nice if someone really needs to hear the truth......... and it is too sugar coated. Sometimes the raw truth is what we need to hear in order to understand it. Sometimes I've been in a wretched mood because things are falling apart around me and someone who is so dear and sweet is smiling and singing and being soooo upbeat and positive as they try to cheer me up that I seriously want to take a muzzle and shut them up and then go gag myself. (I would never) But there are times when that sweetness just isn't what another needs at that particular moment. They need reality.
None of this is meant to downplay sweetness and kindness. It's a treasure to find people that are. But indeed, there are some circumstances where sweetness and sugar isn't what you ordered.

Yes! I am a living breathing example of that. My dad use to say that I was too nice for my own good. I never thought that was possible, but it has burned me a time or two.

Certainly, it gets so you can't believe them, and don't trust them...and a person can be to gusshie too...makes a person want to gag!
