I did and it nearly messed my life up, In 2001 I met a man on the Internet we became very good friends though he lived in Australia and I lived in UK. We chatted and emailed everyday. After knowing him for about a year my father died. I did not cope well and he invited me to go over and visit him. While there we became more than friends. I went home and a month later he visited me. Everyone I knew was telling me not to get involved because it would end in heart ache and meeting someone on the net was not real. Even though my heart said I loved him my mind was saying what others had been saying. at the end of his visit i told him we could not be together as it would not work I broke his heart and broke my own too. Anyway he went home after about a week of feeling so down because i missed him I knew I made a mistake ,in fact I knew the moment he got on the plane. I called him begged , cried told him I loved him, he said I did not need to beg he loved me . year later he moved to UK for good. we have just got married after living together for 4 years. I know one thing I will never ever question my heart again
