Lou is a stubborn hot head. He is "old school" baseball. His antics have worn thin. He has had some great blow-ups over the years with the Yankees, Reds, Mariners, D-Rays and a few with the Cubs. But it's old now. He's 64 years old, he is a good baseball guy, but he really is past his prime. He just couldn't stay away from the game, because he loves to be on edge. He has high blood pressure, but he loves it, he still chain smokes and drinks beer. I'm a Mariner fan and live in Seattle, so I know about the beer and smoking thing, very well known. He is just an old act that has worn thin. He can't retire, because he likes the money and the spot light. I like Lou, but he is a jerk, I've met him a couple times at card signings. He won't win in Chicago. The Cubs will fold like they always do.

He can motivate good players, like in Seattle; but can't build an organization and get much out of young talent, as he did in Tampa. He's similar to Dick Williams (back in the 70s and 80s)

A. he can definitly motivate players.

let us go back to june 3rd where he had the big meltdown with the umpire and got a 4 game suspension, and since then the cubs are the best team in baseball and are now in 1st place in the central division

B.
Scruffy looking, classless guy who has gained a false good reputation because of the teams around him. He's had good teams but he doesn't build winners. He can manage good players, but he can't help an organization grow.

B!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A) Total BS. He does not understand pitchers and he doesn't know how to constructively criticize young players. He jerked a lot of Devil Rays around and pretty much ruined their confidence. Aubrey Huff is a prime example of this.
