No. We haven't been maintaining infrastructure since the 50's when most of this stuff was built. Both democrats and republicans have passed through the white house without taking action.

Good point, but I think it'll be lost on the liberals here. In their minds, Bush collapsed that bridge by failing to pour piles of money on it.

Clinton gave many $ millions to Louisiana to build better protection against floods in New Orleans.
The Democrats in charge of New Orleans and Louisiana diverted the funds to spend on their "arts" and other projects.
Those Democrats NEVER care about infrastructure. Only about lining the pockets of their buddies.
Much the same can be said of ALL politicians.
When was the last time you saw any evidence of a politician behaving like a "Public Servant"?

And pray tell, just how was this accomplished ?
At this point its a mystery why this bridge failed. Instead of having some respect for the victims of this tradgedy, you want to score partisan points? Hopfully most of Bush's supporters have greater decency. Answer is no.

In a weird, twisted lib type of thought process, would'nt be surprised if they 'hypothetically' tried to steer that unfortunate disaster toward Bush.I mean why not? sure, lets dig to the bottom of the 'false accusation' barrel. It was just a few days ago my kitchen sink backed up w/water...I immeadiatly thought to myself...D*** Bush administration!.

The collapse of the bridge can be blamed to both the Liberals and Democrats for failure to maintain its stability while they were in power.

Nonsense...but accusing Bush is nonsense too. If anything, bridges are better inspected since 9-11
