No this is not true at all. Yes, lawyers have a bad reputation but not all our dishonest esp. in thier personal lives. Lawyers can be good people too even though they like to analyze everything to bits and pieces. good luck!

You have a very important word in there..."reputation." That means people jump to conclusion about lawyers because of a few bad ones. All lawyers are not dishonest. As long as they represent their clients to the best of their ability that's not being dishonest. So, no I don't think a lawyer will be dishonest with his wife because other lawyers might be dishonest.

Well, if you think that belonging to a profession that has a reputation for being dishonest makes you dishonest, maybe you have a worse problem with prejudging people than a lawyer's wife (or husband; women are allowed to practice law now too, if you didn't know) has with an unfaithful spouse.

You can't accuse all lawyers of being dishonest. There are alot of honest ones out there. If a lawyer is dishonest with everyone, then yes, more than likely, he will be dishonest with his wife too.

Dishonestly is a character flaw and a CHOICE not something that a person can compartmentalize into just one area of their life....but if you were dating someone who lied in their work, why would you think they'd be honest with you?

WOW............... that's deep! Makes you wonder. -- If the same lawyer that was handling my first wife's divorce (to me) was also the lawyer for her boyfriend (affair) and knew about the whole thing............. wouldn't he have to consider it OK? If I was his wife I would be afraid......... very afraid!

Generalizations and stereotypes makes one who buys into them look less intelligent than they might truly be.
