I listen to Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco...The Academy Is...and bands like them...also AC/DC and classics...but whenever I am in the car with my mom and I go to put a cd she goes do you have to listen to them? And I say yes...then I turn it up loudish and she is like why do u blast ur music...I have an iPod and I always have it with me...but at times I forget it...so I let the whole car rock out...why doesn't she like my music?

k yeah, i totally understand. my mom hates Fall Out Boy too...she makes fun of their name..."hahahaha...Fall Out Boy?!? what kind of name is that?? hahahaha..."...it makes me feel really mad. and once fob was on the radio and i said i love this song, and she makes some kind of wierd face and changes the station.
she likes like Josh Groban and Michael Buble. They are totally gross! and when SHE plays their music, I AM DISGUSTED! so i don't get why SHE can play HER music and I can't play MINE!
and also when she plays her music, i grab my Ipod and listen 2 it. so i am having a great time listening to my music, and not listening 2 hers....and then a part she rly likes comes up and she turns up the music! then i can't hear my music so i turn mine up. Then she gets pissed like i am trying 2 ignore her (no, i am just trying 2 ignore her music!) and she yells that it is too loud but it wouldn't be if she just turned off her music!! sigh...
and yeah, listen to music u enjoy and show it! u can't rock out to quiet, classical music...or even quiet rock music!! and do all moms just forget what bands they liked when they were young? or maybe they never liked rock.....just Michael Buble and Diana Ross.
and what about this question makes u a whiny teenaged boy?? YOUR A GIRL!!!!!!!! duh...
and maybe, moms r just supposed to not like their childrens music. like its their job or something...idk
if i ever get 2 be a mother, i will let my kid blast their music and enjoy it 2 the very most!!!

Don't worry about it, it genetic NO PARENTS LIKE THEIR KIDS MUSIC , its the kids right of passage. Their moms did it to them, and those did it to them and so fourth and so on.
Side note- once you get a little older, you'll learn that alot of the musicians today are just remaking your moms old music. So I wouldnt be too quick to judge, you might be listening to the same music after all

I love my children's music but they play it too loudly and when the sound is distorted and it makes my eyes ache it isn't fun anymore. By the way I like Panic at the Disco as well.

Face it, music changes as do generations, my parents barely like what i listen too.... but then again i find sumtin i like and they like at the same time and thats wut i listen to most of the time when i'm with them... and yeah my mom don;t rly care if i blast the music up but my dad does so ... gotta come to a middle point... Maybe because you choose to be so inconsiderate !
It may not be the choice of music as much as your attitude.
I actually like the music that my dasughter listens to, but she doesn't feel it's neccessary to be obnoxious withit either.
I guess some people are just more annoying than others by choice.
If it was my car and you had to crank it up, you would see your cd sailing out of MY Car's window !

im not a whiny little teenage boy either but like that music to(im a girl)and my parrents are never home so can listen to music as loud as i want mwwaaahaaahaa unless my big sister like yells at me to trn it down but she liks fob 2 sooo

I'm sorry, by the choice of music you listed I thought you were a whiny little teenage boy because that's who typically likes the music you like. Oh and try being not such a little snot to your mother. Did you buy the car? What rights do you have? Nourishment, Shelter, & Love. Rides in a car that you didn't buy and listening to crappy music isn't a right, it's a privledge and you're a brat and you shouldn't even get that if you "let the whole care rock out" without concern of being rude to the woman who gave you life among everything else you own.

That's just normal. Just be nice and use your Ipod so you don't give mom a heart attack while she is driving. I actually like alternative rock and am probably her age...but that's not usually the case.
