In many cases, yes! (depends on how rubbed in it is). They have done this for me. You have to show the person at the counter exactly where the pitch is. If they are good, they will do as much as can be done with chemicals without harming the garment.

I know its not the same, but might be worth a try. If you get say wax on fabric, a good way to get this out is with a brown paper bag (with no print on it), place the bag on the garment/stain and iron the brown bag, the wax will lift onto the bag. This may work with pine tar, as you need to melt the tar from the fabric fibers. But make sure you don't move the bag around as this will spread the tar. Good Luck.

You know with the technology of today ... it wouldnt surprise me in the least.

Take it to a professional dry cleaner and ask them. Tell them that the Jersey was a special gift and it means a lot to you so they will make that extra effort.

be sure to tell them that it is pine tar and they will have it looking good

if they have to guess as to what it is it could be a different story
