Oh, please. Where were you the last two nights when they were pummeling the White Sox? Where was your countdown then?

Dude, for a knowledgable baseball fan, you really lose perspective, and make some weird statements to bait Yankee fans. Yes, the Yankees are eight games back. But coming into today they had scored more runs then your Tigers (620-615), and had a much lower team ERA then Detroit (4.32-4.51).

I agree the Yankees are a long shot to win the A.L. East, but they can't win it every year. Also, the Wild Card card is well within reach (and the Yankees ERA is lower than Cleveland's also, thus proving incorrect a recent statement made by you that Cleveland "simply has better pitching").

As a Tiger fan, I'm sure you would not look down on the Yankees if they were the Wild Card team, as the Tigers had to settle for that last year after blowing a huge lead and losing 31 of 50, similar to the huge slump they are in now. It proves the best team doesn't always make it to the World Series, just the hottest team at the time.

It doesn't matter since they are a lock for the Wild card. Borowski and Jones will guarantee this.

Yes. Yank fans are spoiled. Rattle their cages.
If you're not here to have fun, then why bother?

That's the biggest "magic number" I've ever seen.

I'm all for hating the Yanks, it is America's real pastime, but i'm not counting them out just yet.
