I have done this on many occasions, now I sit back and wait to see if the invitation is accepted first.

Yes, reached arms out and got kicked in the teeth. Now I have a hard time trusting anyone and have learned a very hard lesson. I don't know if it has made me stronger, cynical or jaded. Probably a little of all of the above.

Yeah and then he got mad at me becasu he though I did nothing for him and that pissed me off but I still try to help him when I can to show him im not a jerk of a friend.

He was already taken. I think that's why I cant get over it.
What makes it worse is his GF is nice.
