How do famous people avoid being hassled by people or groups of people when they are out in public? Or do they even set foot out in public?

Do they bring people with them to get rid of any crowds, cover up well to hide their identity or what?

One of the drawbacks of being famous is that it's probably tough to just walk out and about in the street like an everyday Joe without worrying about being harassed.

Thanks.

Some celebs live a low profile life. They live in regular towns not hillside/beachside mansions. They don't party in the "hot spots" and opt for living a simple life. They are actually like able, not self absorbed and kind. I would mention them here but I think they like anonymity.

Plus anyone over 29 is apparently not interesting in the eyes of the media (at least lately.)

I hear John Travolta has basically become nocturnal in an attempt to avoid being hassled in public. He does everything at night! Other than that, I think they just suck it up and deal with it. On occasion you see them with big hats and sunglasses, trying to hide.

Celebrities can't avoid being hassled in public places. It comes with the territory.

They wear no make-up, use wigs, sport large sunglasses, and place large hats on their big heads.
