My two best friends hated each other. There was a huge fight and I ended up choosing one over the other. The friend I didn't choose started telling everyone that I was a lesbian with my other best friend. Now the entire school is spreading the rumour and no one will talk to us anymore. Help??

It would be easier to act like you don't care but these people sneak behind your back so you have no idea what's being said about you.

It's gotten to a point where even my grade school friends are acting like that.

I tried telling people about my boyfriend they keep insisting that it's a coverup.

Plus, my ex-best friend thinks she's the queen of the school and apologizing will do nothing but make things worse.

Walk around with a guy then everyone will know you aren't a lesbian.

You can't prevent someone from spreading rumors. Its not what your called.... It's what you answer to. Remember that. You just have to learn to get some thicker skin. People gonna talk about you all your life. That is just the way it is. Just remember the way it makes you feel when the time comes and you have the choice of gossiping about someone or biting your tongue. You can only change you, and the way you act to people's false accusation. Why even react to it if you know it is not true. And just a word of advice. When two people have an argument that has nothing to do with you. the best thing you can do is stay mutual, and not pick sides.

The girls in my seventh grade class did the same thing. Only difference: It was about 30 girls spreading rumors at the same time. These girls told each other I was pregnant, called me various name that this website would not let me post, and completely destroyed my reputation. The turned my best friends against me.They told the school principle that they had reason to beleive I had a disorder, and the woman beleived them! The next year, when the ringmaster of the rumors left, they treid to befriend me and make-up, but the damage was done. I had already cut myself off from them. To this day, people judge me and say that I shouldv'e forgiven them. What they don't understand is that you can forgive someone and still not trust them. You can forgive this woman, but heaven help anyone who tells you to trust her! They told the school principle that they had reason to beleive I had a disorder, and the woman beleived them! This woman needs to be told to step off, and most likely (I'm not going to lie to you) she won't. I don't know how people get through it, but when you do (and you will) you will come out the better person, and she will look like the moron she is. I am now fourteen years old and as happy as could be. I'm still going to school with those girls, but I've got new friends and things are great. Sorry if this was too long...

It's a little late to stop it. However if anyone calls you a lesbian just roll your eyes and say, "You have to be kidding me, you believe in that crap? Well what can I expect from an idiot, but to believe anything he hears. Did you know that clouds are made of cotton candy. Go tell that to you're friends and maybe I'll tell you some more life secrets." It's all about the tone though. You have to do it in a sarcastic, what the f*** are you smoking tone. That usually smarts the name caller.

Stop worrying about it they will get over it soon enough and find something else to talk about. Why could you not keep both friends you should not have had to choose you could have been friends with both and did separate things with each. In the end they are just words and they can only effect you as much as you let them.

Bring some "RED Rosed" to school and give it to the friend who started that false rumor. Give it to her in front of everyone. And do not say much, just smile. People would think it is a 3 way lesbian affair. Basicly, you screwing her too. lol

Im not sure tell everybody that its not true that its really the other way around that ur freind is lesbo. And if noone beleves u then their must b a secret that she told u that she did not want anyone to know tell that around the school then tell her that if u want the rumors to stop that she has to stop.

You can't stop ridiculous rumors, you can only ignore them. You know it's not true, and you don't have to prove it to anybody. BUT, if you try, don't over-compensate, and don't stoop-down to the rumor-spreading level. Just wait for things to cool-down, and then maybe you should try talking to your other best friend.

oh sweetie, just give it time. some people have nothing better to do with themselves than make others feel as bad as they do. soon, there will be another story going around about someone else and they'll forget all about this one. besides, the more you try to quell this rumor, the more people will talk. just go on with your life and realize that those talking have absolutely no life.

Screw em' all!

You should kiss your friend right in front of everyone and say "Now What?" Jk... I don't think you're bold enough for that =0)

People like her are stupid and looking for attention. So ignore the chick. Tell her to find a carpet to lick!
