I'm afraid 3G service won't work with the nokia 5700 in the Us. Because the only provider that does offer 3G service (Cingular/Att) doesn't offer in the 2100mhz frecuency. So you can't use it at all. only EDGE (EGPRS) is what is available this only goes like depending 75kbps to 200 kbps.

3g is not software. 3g is high-speed data for 3g phones. i dont think u can use 3g in the US with it cause it uses different bands then 3g in the US. like the n95.

3G is the software the phone runs on, not something you access
