I wanted to skip my period due to traveling so I skipped all the green placebo pills and went straight to a new pack. I believe as of now I am on the second first blue pill and I noticed I'm spotting a little bit. It's more of a light light brown/pink, less pink though. I'm trying not to be on my period for atleast a week from today. Is this normal and will it stop? I do plan on taking the next placebo pills. I just don't want my period on the 4th of August.

Update:
It's been a few days now and I'm still bleeding a little bit, I called the doc and she told me to expect breakthrough bleeding. But does this mean I'm going to have 2 periods once i hit the green pills again? And are period cramps normal with this? Why try to skip your period with bc when you are going to have something like it anyway? I learned my lesson.

You might. Skipping pills comes with consequences, and that is having your cycle go all wacky. So you may get another period when your fourth week comes around again. You MIGHT miss it though.

When I decided to skip the placebo's it took FOREVER to get my cycle back on track with the pills. I would never do it again.

Because you are taking the 28 day pack you need to stay on 4 week cycle. You can skip the sugar pills but wait a week until you start a new pack. The 28 day pack disburses the medication differently than a 21 day pack. They are designed for people who want a period every month. You need to finish out the packs you have like scheduled. If you don't want to have a period every month, then switch to a different pill like Seasonale. You only have 3 periods a year.
