I don't understand the immoral part, betting on something isn't illegal is it? If I found a wallet laying on the ground and it had a large sum of money in it of course I would turn it over to the authorities but if I found a fiver I'd stick it my pocket and buy myself an ice cream cone.

If I received something in an "immoral" way, I'd probably lie about how I got it.

How is picking something off the ground immoral? Finders keepers, right? It's not like you stole it off somebody!

At my age, it's much easier to remember the truth than all the details of a lie. So, "I found it" works, so does, "I won it".
