Hi Sunbeam, How are you ?? We are traveling to our timeshare in Panama City Beach, Florida. in one week. Our condo is right on the sugar white sands of the beach. The water of the Gulf is a beautiful emerald green. The sunsets are awesome. We have gone there for years and now we have it up for sale. Hubby is 81 and doesn't want to travel that far anymore.
Because we love the mountains also, we have another timeshare & we love to go to the different mountain ranges. Our favorite is the Ozarks at Easter time. Dogwoods in full bloom. Gods beauty everywhere. We really love the splender of all mountains over going to the beach now that we are older. We have enjoyed our days in the sun.

Depends how short! I live by the beach so half an hour is long enough! The mountains are wonderful but a quiet deserted beach is my favourite - I love the way the sea changes all the time.

I was born and raised in Florida. And I loved just a few miles from the Beach. Now, I love up near the Smokie Mountains. And I do miss the Beach, so much. Besides, my Mother is near the Beach. I have to vote for the Beach!!

The nearest beach is Brighton and thats 50 miles away from London, the nearest mountain must be in Wales , so a day trip to the beach

I love both - I guess it might depend on the time of year, though - I would be more inclined to go to the mountains than the beach in any season other than summer.

Well here in Michigan we aren't real big on mountains so I prefer the beach!
