"Okay, we've messed up America's relations with the middle east by killing a couple of muslims (Millions upon Millions). And now they're so pissed they wanna kill us. Okay lets destroy their homeland and the place they'll love so they will begin to love us again and never attack us." Tom Tancredo August 2nd 2007*NEVER GONNA HAPPEN THAT WAY*

Dude, if that happens not just the terrorrists but all 1.8 BILLION muslims will hate us. Within 3 days all 300 million Americans will be 5 foot underground!

This guy is killing us. Who the hell would vote for someone that will doom us all by giving terrorists another reason to kick our butts.

Listen, some of you anti-muslims, islamophobes, racists and bigots want the end of mecca and medina. But that would be the end of us. I don't wanna know if you'd like to see the Mosques fall, But I wanna know what you think on this guy and his statement. Possible consequences of his sayings.

I would never vote for him, but this one opinion is not completely without merit.

The Japanese prior to having 2 nuclear weapons used on them were far more terrifying an adversary than anything in the Muslim world today. They had invaded numerous countries and attacked the USA at Pearl Harbour.

They showed no signs of relenting.

Then after Hirshima and Nagasaki they UNCONDITIONALLY surrendered.

Muslim extremists are no less human and arguably far more cowardly than Imperial Japan was.

If they are shown that their belief in a non-existant supernatural deity is false, (That Allah could not protect their most holy of places from destruction) they would cower like any normal human does when faced with overwhelming reality. They would change their minds.

You can have all sorts of faith, but gravity doesn't care what you believe. Similarly, proof that a given faith's most central beliefs are flawed would force a conversion to a more reasonable world view.

People are not characters in movies or video games. Given a choice between conciliation with the west or utter destruction people choose conciliation. Most people just want to make money and raise their kids.

You may not convince the fanatics, but the other 99.5% of the Muslims would reign in those fanatics if they knew with certainty that Mecca and Medina would become ash.

The sooner we can dispence with superstition of all sorts, the better the world will be.

Tancredo is a nutjob. He's also one of the three idiot Republican candidates who believes in Creationism (along with Brownback and Huckabee). Of course, he's also got some tiny fraction of a percent of the vote, so nobody takes him seriously anyway.

Tancredo is a nutcase.

Also, he has one of the highest absentee rates in the HOR. He doesn't bother to show up to do the job our tax dollars pay him for, he just uses his office as a platform for his wacky ideas.
