What are you talking about?

Everyone DOES have equal rights!

No law exists restricting someones rights on such superficial basis.

Any restrictions and friction received by a homosexual is purely social. And no law can force people to "be nice" to one another... because it is also our right to be assses to one another if we so chose.

Your post is absurd

What are you really asking for? Superior rights? Legally enforced reverse prejudices?

The only right a homosexual has when segregated against is to seek justice from persecution... but we all have that right.

I can only assume you are referring to gays not being able to marry, because I think we all agree that we all have the same rights.
As a conservative, I think gays should be able to form a civil union, for all the economic protection hetero spouses enjoy, including obtaining medical information and everything else. My only problem is I don't believe it should be referred to as a marriage. So gay partners should get all the benefits as a married man and woman, but just call it a union. As a Christian conservative, I believe that marriage is a sacred institution entered into by a man and a woman. A gay couple can enter into a civil union. I'm sure all you open minded libs out there can respect my opinion and have room in your hearts for people such as myself who may have an honest disagreement with you.

There is not equal rights of sexual orientation. When you buck societal norms then you will get hammered. Just like the guy who checks violations on Yahoo answers. He never deletes liberals who offend others but let a liberal complain then he erases ids without regard to our rights. He is about to get Yahoo sued cause he might have the authority to remove someone from answers he does not have the right to erase an entire ID including E-mail in long term storage. I am looking forward to the day that the FCC pulls Yahoo's license for civil rights violations.

I am conservative. But, I do believe that a man can be born gay. But, I also believe that someone can be born psychotic, born pedophile and born retarded. Anywho, I'm not so sure that your observation about gays not being treated as equal add up to sh*t. You sound like a really stupid person. Just my 2 cents.
Gays are treated as equals as far as I am concerned.

They have the same rights as everyone else, just not tax break for being married, but some states have civil union laws to give them equality in taxes as well.

Because they disapprove -- and under their mindset, if they don't like something, they can force the law to punish it.

It's truly sad, since the very religion that most of them use to justify their bigotry is a religion founded on tolerance and acceptance of others --- too bad they don't practice what they preach.

What "right" are they being denied? Has the right said gay people don't have the right to free speech or the right to bear arms or to assemble or to freedom of religion or due process or any of the other rights afforded to Americans in the constitution. Please specifically state which "right" the right has ignored for gays.

I am not a conservative and I think gays should have all the rights they want. As long as it isn't legal rights.

The sad truth is, most people are ignorant of what they fail to comprehend, it's really that simple..Plus, they have a "Holier then thou" attitude about things they don't want to understand and fear.. I met some people in the south, old people who still think women shouldn't have been given the vote "back then"... and they got used to it once they understood..Hopefully in time no one will bad mouth others they don't understand..
