Here's what I do - using a ball, rest your shins on it and position yourself like a push-up (only your legs will be the same level as you). Pull yourself up into an upside-down "V" using your abs. This gets the hard to reach areas in the lower ab.
Then I do plenty of regular ol' situps and Oblique lifts (dumbbell to one side, lean sideways to that side and use the muscles on the other side of your stomach to pull it up).
THIS IS HARD TO EXPLAIN IN WRITING LOL! Hope this helps. XOXO
OHHH! And also, get an ab lounger. Do 20 regular ones, 20 on each side, and then 20 WITH NO HANDS. OUCH!

Hey relax a little it is all good. You have been given some good answers here and some duds, please pay heed only to the sensible ones! Im going to focus my answer on a small part of your question because everyone else has done a fabulous job already. The hardest and most smartest muscle group in all your body is the abdominals. If you want tokickstart that area here are a few pointers: 1. Try doing pilates hundreds with variable leg positions (google yoga hundreds you will get endless pictures for crrect form techniques and execution). This exercise is responsible for activating the underlying muscles in your abdominals, right down to the core. People often make the mistake of doing crunches and sit ups, these are a waste of time and do nothing but give you a bad back and work the superficial top layer of your abdominal pack. 2. The lower area of the abs is the most laziest of the whole lot!!! That is why most people have that little podge that likes to stick out, especially women that have given birth as this has connections to our pelvic floor muscles. Any exercise that has you lying on your back and requires you to stick your feet in the air helps. Angle your feet away while keeping your legs straight is even better. Then bring your hands behinf your head and keeping your elbows back bring your head off the floor. Try holding that for a minute. Do variations with this exercise. Lower one leg down to the floor at a time while keeping your legs straight. Or try jacknives (google this term if not sure) they are great for legs as wel as abs especially the lower abs. 3. Bycicle curls 4. Plank Like I said google any of these and you will get pictures for correct form and technique These exercises are among my favourite for some serious solid abdominals and core strength Hope this helps

Start building those abs today. You can work out those abs daily. For now they will be hidden behind that bit of fat you have but once it is gone they will be there waiting.
A good cardio routine will help work off the fat, atleast 3 times a week. Your ideal weight is probably around 140-145 so adding some weight training to increase muscle mass a bit will keep you balanced.
Good luck!

200 crunches a day. At least, I do that and it tones them.
I usually split it up into 4 sets of 50 throughout the day and it's easier than way. That's how I handle most of my exercises anyway. Sometimes I'll increase the repetitions depending on how tired or not I am.
Switching some things like soda for flavored water or something will also help health wise.

In order to lose weight you have to eat. Its what you eat and when that is key. I suggest you bite the bullet and get some kind of professional help, even if its something like Jenny Craig or Weight watchers. Couple that with a workout routine a personal trainer maybe if you join a gym, and stick to it. Good luck.

if you like dancing, you can lose weight with it. there's this thing called hip hop abs that i wanna get, it looks fun and it seems like they work a lot more around the ab area. if not, what i do is do 12 sit-ups in.... 5 different positions before i go to sleep. it might be a while to see any results though. heh.

Weight train and do cardio after your weight training workout. This way, you lose any extra belly fat you have. I am in the middle of doing this myself! Good luck!
