On-stage, no; on film, yes.

Nah. I've seen acne flareups get covered up by makeup, and those with pockmarks from acne get many major roles as well (Tommy Lee Jones is in a ton of movies, Brad Pitt has pockmarks, etc). Be confident and the acne will go unnoticed.

...if you are auditioning for Clean & Clear!!

Okay just kidding. For a movie, I'd say maybe. However, its amazing what a little make up can do! Just don't worry about it and be confident. Put on some cover up when you audition and let you skills or personality do the talking.
For a regular television show, definatly not. If the show is supposed to be realistic, then they shouldn't care since acne is realistic.
Good luck!

It matters, but to what extent of acting are you trying to go for? if you go with an agency, they will help you get ways of reducing or ridding you of your acne, acting is all about visual perception, this is something you always need to consider. It will be definetly harder to get a role that's more popular, due to the fact that there are more girls people trying for that part. In all honesty, try going to a spa or something, that could help. but when it comes to hollywood, its all about beauty.

I agree on stage no b/c they won't see it but on film yes. It's strange but even nerdy unpopular characters in TV and Film don't seem to have acne. Unfortunately the make-up you have to wear will only make it worse so go to a dermatologist and try to clear it up. Trust me most famous people see a dermatologist regularly or they wouldn't have such perfect skin either.

Of course, remember, the entertainment world is about flawless beauty. Sure, there are some character actors/actress that get away with it, but, they have been in the business for years.

If you have acne, ask your doctor to prescribe something to eliminate your acne.

well, if you can cover it up than it wont matter, but unfortunantly appearence is a big part of acting and they probably care if an actor has acne, unless ur a really good actor. for example- have you seen anyone on tv w/ acne? nope.
