Because CD's are way overpriced. Because they usually have on or two good songs on them. Because why pay for it if i can get it free? Because I have better things to spend my money on. Because some poor downtrodden executive will lose so much money he'll have one less gold chain.

I'm sure R.A. the Rugged Man does. Apathy hates when people download his music but he probably does so himself. Also guys like Flo Rida, Pitbul, and more artists like that. BQ: If I had the money, I'd buy the hard copy of every hip hop album known to man. But I still try to support the artists when I can.

because they do not have the musical EAR that some of Us have:

--the sense of listen to a Record, CD or cassette, with headphones, in the best stereo equalization possible, reading the full color booklet with the list of musicians that perform in the music, the lyrics of the song and the simple fact that YOU'RE REALLY listen to the Music, not just have it on the computer because "...it's free".

obviously a lot of people use bittorrent and download whole albums so they dont have to pay at retail. but also, a friend of mine has bittorrent and couldnt wait for the new reel big fish album, so he searched and found where a music shop owner that had an early copy of the cd had uploaded it. so my friend downloaded it before the cd even came out.

doesnt mean its a cool thing to do though.

i think people do it because they see the celebrities on shows like cribs and spending 5K on a pair of earrings and think that illegally downloading their CD isn't going to hurt that singers bank account.
