I have to literaily SCREAM to get her to get off that damnable thing.. Even long enough to make a quick din-din. And even then I usually have to make something more substantial for the kids later. How common is this problem? They used to be valium addicts, now it's the internet. Why don't the Stones write a song about this? I mean,it's getting to be a Major Social Issue in my book. Opinions?

Hey! Hold on! I'm a wife and in our house, it's my husband who is glued to the damned thing. I have to drag him out to eat dinner or he will take it in and eat at the computer. I only turn the thing on about every two days! And that's too often.

The same reason guys love TV. When the relationship is boring and uninteresting, we need an outside source of stimulation and interest to escape to while the man hogs the TV with remote in hand. Believe me, when there's a hot interesting relationship going on, the PC has very little appeal.

Yes there are probably many but it's really no different then her being on the phone 24/7 or watching the soaps. People have to have something to do....

She's probably trying to make the statement to get with the 21st century babe. Tho my hubby did scream at me to go to bed at 6 this morning. I did meet me a cool new friend tho lmao. I don't have kids tho.

If it's so damnable...why are you using it to ask us questions?

It couldn't be THAT bad.

If you're screaming at her about any activity, maybe a computer isn't the problem.

Maybe it's, y'know, communication or something.

Hey, you cant ask my husband that, well not yet anyway, I wont let him have the p.c, lol. if your wife is that bad, perhaps you should hold more interesting chats with her, pay her compliments and make her feel special! That way she would spend less time on here and more time with you ;o)

If you scream less often and take more effort in making yourself and your lives more interesting, maybe she'll voluntarily unplug the thing.
