Bush's lemmings will support him no matter how evil the deeds he perpetrates upon us and the world. Not me.

Because thats the system , one party has to get in
It is about time we , should be allowed to abstain
Or should I say , have the choice not to vote a party in but out of power , then you whould see all the politicians do as we want , instead of saying one thing , and doing another

Any charge of wrong doing made against an elected leader is immediately portrayed as only a smear by the opposing party. Those that let others do the thinking for them, will fall in line.
As long as there are citizens who fall for the myth that they are not smart enough to make their own decisions, they will follow their shepard of choice to the bitter end.

In the case of Labour versus the Conservatives among older people, I think it's to do with class. i.e. if you want to identify with being working class, you'll always vote Labour and if you want to be seen as 'posh' you'll vote Tory.
As for the rest - who the hell knows - it seems the worse a party gets the more entrenched some of it's supporters get.

You can put a pig in a suit but it's still a pig and that pig could find you a million dollars buried underground, but it's still a pig. And that pig could save your life, but underneath it's still a pig. And then that pig could burn down your house, and guess what, it's still a pig.
For the slow ones, pig = politician, and what they do may sway voter opinion, but underneath they are all scammers and con artists.
