I am pretty sure about half of my neighbors are stealing my internet. I am going to password protect it, but I figure I might as well have a little fun with them first. Any suggestions?

fyi, I know attacking their computer is illegal. I just want to have a little fun, like expose them or something.

any such 'fun' would be potentially illegal [intentional damage to property of another] .. so don't try.

suggest turning off broadcast of your network node's name as well if your router can do this. then change the name as welll as add a password.

:)

honestly - i had the same issue once, i knocked on their door. they were rather embarrassed!

although this is controversial, remember that this is YOUR CONNECTION - i cant tell you how to attack their system, although its possible. but stealing your internet is YOUR problem, if they do something illegal online, the police will be at your door. be careful, had a friend who had major problems with this also. his connection was downloading films, but it wasnt him. but he got the nasty letter!

Please take care and dont mess around with things that potentially could land you in trouble.

Them stealing your internet is illegitimate. positioned a pretend observe of their mailbox with their IP adress exhibiting that they would be arrested in the event that they proceed to thieve internet that isn't theirs. the only project is you dont be conscious of who's IP adress is whos. yet they might get scared besides.

Change your Airport name to "I know where you live." or "I see you right now"... So when they look at the internet signal it will display your message! :)
