He's not even supposed to run in the next elections, but yes I think he will definitely try to work his way around that little technicality. His rule of Russia is pretty absolute at this moment. That might change, but for now, I think we would do well to watch this "partner" of Iran carefully. No matter what Bush saw in his soul.

It is a foregone conclusion that Putin will win the next election and so on ad infinitum. Reason? The Russians just love a Tsar and that is exactly the role which Putin fills - Tsar of all the Russias.

Putin is a deeply committed Christian and member of the Russian Orthodox Church - the 3rd Roman Empire. If there is such as person as the Emperor of Rome, then there is no doubt that such a person is Putin.

The Russian people will follow the advice of the Russian Orthodox Church, which will be to support the Christian ruler of Russia, Putin. It follows, because Putin has made the Russian Orthodox Church more powerful but not as powerful as perhaps it was before the Revolution.

It is unlikely that the West will reject the re-election of Putin.

There is one country which will certainly not reject Putin and that is France, which sees itself as a Revolutionary country and sees the Russian Revolution as a re-run of events which took place in France in the 18th and 19th centuries.

US-Navy Aircraft Carrier, the USS United Kingdom will just do exactly as the captain orders.

Edit: the most popular Russian in Russia today is actualy Joseph Stalin. He's the Tsar that all the Russian kids learn about in school. Oh yeah! Believe. The Revolution is not over.

First, ask yourself how many candidates are in a Russian election. Although our country has no input into the results, we can only hope that the next Russian leader will not have a KGB history or ties. A country the size and importance of Russia cannot be ignored, and must be dealt with in international circles.

Why do you worry about Putin, you're in the US afterall. I lived in Russia, while Putin ruled. Even though he started off as a drunk in the start, he became a great leader in the end. Better than many. Erhm.

George Bush rigged the elections, got in, and is (unfortunately) accepted by most governments around the world...

Well I don't think we have ever liked Russian leaders, and Putin is one in a long line of hard leaders. He was a leader of the KGB, so we should not trust him even if they have changed the name. His country has vast gas reserves so we have to tread gently.

If you are American, you should worry a lot more about your own president and your own rigged elections than about Putin.

Perhaps he will rig the election . . . by why would the U.S. care. Despite economic advancements, Russia is of little threat value to the U.S.

P.S. Please don't apologize for the question, it's much more interesting than the perpetual socialist/right wing hate mongering that this site caters to . . . It's actually a relief.
