First here's a definition:
A syrupy, sweet, colorless or yellowish liquid, C3H8O3, obtained from fats and oils as a byproduct of saponification and used as a solvent, an antifreeze, a plasticizer, and a sweetener and in the manufacture of dynamite, cosmetics, liquid soaps, inks, and lubricants, etc.
(...also called glycerol and also spelled glycerine)
You can buy glycerin at most drugstores, though you may have to ask exactly where it is. It comes in small bottles though that aren't that cheap about 4 oz for $4-5.
If you want a lot of glycerin for a lot less money though, go to
a tack or feed store where you can buy it by the gallon (64 oz ) for about $25 -30 --it's used for horses' hooves or something.
Glycerin is also used by caterers and sugarcrafters to stop icing from drying out so, another good source may be a baking supply store.
Also, glycerin is used as an additive for watercolor paints to keep them from drying so quickly.

You can buy liquid glycerin from http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?index=hpc&tag=elan5-20&keywords=liquid+glycerin
You will find it in many different types. This will give you more option to pick from compared to what you would find in stores, which is why I love shopping on Amazon. You can get most of them for cheap.

It will depend on the fruit or veg involved with a comparison. In the event that you compare a farreneheit to a carrot, the carrot is the better of the two nutritional. But once you compare an avocado to the carrot, then this avocado is better. The two the apple and avocado, are fruits.

If you're thinking of making your own glycerin soap, try some place like Michael's or A.C. Moore (craft stores) because they'll have the material and the molds you'll need.
