If Bush wanted to invade Iran, he would pull out of Iraq now. The Iranians would come in and take over, and when they invade Israel again we'd have the necessary excuse to invade.
Could all of that happen in a year? Probably; it's much easier to establish an autocracy/theocracy than a democracy, especially when those are the only kinds of government Iraq has ever known.

Why would he do that? Where would you get such an idea? . . . . . oh wait, you're one of those crazy people who thinks he blew up the towers in New York. In the few months he was in office you really believe he was able to accomplish this? What about Clinton's responsibility for not knowing this could/would happen? It had to have taken a significant amount of time to plan that attack . . . maybe during Clinton's administration. Not just the few months Bush was in office.
