My only dream/desire/wish was to move out - be independent and on my own. This hasn't changed - I'm still independent, on my own and as long as I have a choice, this is exactly what I want.

My dreams were so "normal", I wanted to get married, have 3 kids, live in the suburbs in a 4 br brick home with 2 bathrooms & a double garage. Have a kind & loving husband, a dog, 2 birds & a tropical fishtank. Be a stay-at-home Mum, help out at the local fete to raise money for community resources, & volunteer in the canteen at school.
Reality: I married a crazy & violent man, had 1 child, divorced at age 23, put myself through uni, worked in the field of psychiatry for 18 years, then moved to Korea.

I used to have this dream that I was stranded on a desert island with an older, very handsome man. He was very tall and muscular, he would hunt and fish to provide food for us. I would fall in love with him, but he always said he was too old for me. In these dreams we never get rescued, but in one he finally kissed me, and that was the last time I dreamt that.
Darn, I miss him and that island!

Happiness is in the journey not in what you find at the end of the road.
And thank goodness because usually I am just dreaming about strippers.
