Nearsighted? Farsighted? Why do you wear them?
Or have you had your sight surgically corrected?

I am extremely nearsighted (I sometimes can't find my glasses in the morning lol)
I only wear my glasses now, I can't be bothered with contacts
I am too poor and also too chicken to have the surgery, although I still fantasize that one day I will wake up with perfect vision
how is your eyesight?

I am extremely nearsighted. I wear glasses. I can cook and read without glasses, but that's about it. I need them for TV, compuer use, and driving.
I refuse to get contact and I think the risk outweighs the reward as far as surgical correction goes. I have been wearing glasses for 15 years. Having surgery so that I don't need them seems pointless. Perhaps if this had been offered when I first started wearing them, but even then I probably would have declined.
If the surgery was necessary, I might go for it, but elective surgery for purposes of vanity is not for me.
My wife wears both glasses and contacts (about 50% of the time with each). She has no problem wearing contacts (and she looks very cute with either glasses or contacts), but they are not for me. I don't like the idea of putting something in my eyes. I would rather wear glasses.

At first, I was farsighted. But now I'm nearsighted. I don't have glasses. I need them though. But I do plan on getting contacts.

Was farsighted as a kid, wore glasses for bout 7 yrs.
Then at 22ish I had a slip and had to wear them again for just under 1 year, eyes went back for some reason.
Today, at 38, perfect vision, no glasses, nothing. Yet entire family on both sides wear them.

Gosh dang perfect vivion people! I have bad vision so I wear glasses most of the time :-( The other times I just don't see well. I am near sighted I think it is. I can see things that are close up.

im nearsighted in one eye, farsighted in the other, have a asigtmitism and i used to have glasses in 2nd grade and i got contacts today. (they feel sooooo freaksih)

I'm farsighted, I use glasses in school and all but I use contacts most of the times.

I have astigmatism and I wear contacts and I also have glasses but I usually don't need to wear them! and I'm nearsighted cause I cant see far!
