I love tae go abroad but my mum ,who is now 72 and has various medical problems, has tae pay more for her insurance than the actual holiday. It's cheaper for us to holiday in the UK. We have just returned from a smashing week in Blackpool. British holidays are good if you chill oot and just let yourself enjoy the sights and sounds of the place that you are staying at.

There comes a time when I want to know I can have the sun on my back, good service and good food with an fairly exotic location I try to avoid Brits . I do not like flying and I particularly do not like airports

If you went to the airport and saw the thousands of people flying off on holiday you would think there was nobody scared of flying. Are you scared of flying and just looking for Dutch Courage I wander.

Def not scared of flying. Don't often stay in the UK as for one it's so expensive.

Who in their right minds would want to holiday in the UK ? Bad food, worse weather, diminishing country-side, terrible accents, arrogant attitudes and no sense of humour (well in England anyway),

The other reason being, I can't afford to go abroad. Would be nice to travel tho.
