Not yet, they haven't won anything!

I seriously think Boston will look back at this trade a few years from now and see a mistake.

Think about it: KG is 31, Ray Allen is 32, Paul Pierce will turn 30 in October..unfortunately, the Celtics have to deal with people that are not only aging, but also are players that always need the ball in their hands. How long this will last? I don't know now.
Minnesota actually did a good thing, KG didn't help them much last season, so they're rebuilding...They got about 5 young players from Boston and also 1st round draft picks. If you're a team that's rebuilding, doesn't that sound like a good deal to you?
Sure, Boston might not be a 24-win team again, but I don't think it will help them get to a championship.

No way you can call them a new dynasty. They haven't won anything yet and plus none of those guys have made it to the NBA Finals before. I do bet they will make the playoffs and get deep in the playoffs. Probably will make it to the Finals with those 3 if they find good role players. But we cannot say they are a dynasty yet.

No, to old even if they could beat San Antonio, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston or Denver this year they would have only 2-3 more years with the core group before they become very over the hill. Best chance to win it all is probably not going to be this season but the next, and Ray Allen will start a rapid decline soon, so this group will be lucky to win just one championship.

Not a dynasty. They might be the Timberwolves east though. A paper team that can't win the big games needed to get to a championship level. They all have too much mileage on their legs. If this team was formed 5 years ago...maybe so, but now? I'd have to give an NO.

No, a dynasty has to win at least 4 championships in 8 years. These guys are too old to be good for that long. Also thy have no bench support, point guard, or centre. Who will be passing to these guys that are used to scoring 25 poitns a game? How will everybody be satisfied now that they wil lmost likely be scoring 7-10 points less a game? What happens if one of them gets injured or fouls out?

They will compete in the East, but you put those three in the West and they are a six or seven seed in the playoffs. They don't have a distributor - piece and allen are going downhill, and even though all three can score, without a bench and a point guard, they got no chance of getting out of the East. The pistons will shut them down.

they'll probably be successful in the next few seasons because of those 3, but because of their lack of talent on the bench and a need of a PG, i wouldnt really think their dynasty material right now. They would at least become playoff contenders

If they show that they could get passed the western teams and get a championship then i would probably think that they could become a good dynasty for now but later on, their going to need to rebuild after those 3 are gone.

Good luck celtics!

Yeah in a 3 on 3 tournament... Danny Ainge did wonderful things for the Celtics by bringing in KG and Ray, but his efforts to bring in more veteran players to fill the bench is not going as well. Eddie House and Jackie Manuel? Why? Why not Brevin Knight or Earl Boykins?

I don't know about dynasty, but they can be good for a couple of seasons. I do expect them to make the playoffs and be a contender in the east, but there are no championship credentials among these players. Actually none of these three players has really proven themselves as a clutch guy in the playoffs.

A dynasty requires championships and they don't have it yet. These three barely have playoff experience so to call them champs is like calling the Lions Superbowl winners...
