Ok, What about the Massive healthcare spending bill the Socialist Democrats want to pass? Is that in "favor" of the American people?

2007-08-02 09:48:23 · update #1

don c,

No, I disagree!

I support Reagan merely for the fact that he pulled away from the Keynesian way of economics in favor of supply and demand, thusly, giving people more jobs at a higher net gross increase.

The heavily democrat majority during his administration inacted higher government spending, and he regarded it as the 'most disappointing factor in his presidency.

Such as is true today, Socialist Democrat want to inact higher government spending next year by as much as 515 billion at over 3 million per hour for the next 5 years and increasing more every year thereafter, and the biggest percentage of that would be on healthcare for those who are "unable."

So, Mr. TS is more a Talker, and less of a politician as he "thinks."

Pitiful.

I don't know about anti-America, but I certainly don't agree with what he wrote.

VOODOO ECONOMICS! This is what George Bush said about Ronald Reagans economics, not some left wing liberal. He used smoke and mirrors to make things look good while the working class was in a living hell. The rich certainly got richer and everyone else got poorer during the l980's. Ronald Reagan ran up the national debt to unprecidented numbers. It was Bill Clintons tax policies along with a Republican congress that brought America back to financial health. Now George W. bush is about to bankrupt us again. The guy was telling the truth. Take your conservative head out of your arss and face the truth. The Republicans do not know how to successfully run a country so it's working citizens lead a good life.

He's not anti-American, he's just simply wrong. Why is it Americans will not hold Congress responsible for our spending? Why is it on the President? Take a look at how long Congressional idiots stay in office vs. Presidents. They're the ones we need to hold responsible. They could decide tomorrow to get this spending under control!

Reagan wasn't anti-American but he did a lot of damage to social programs. School test scores in California have dropped to below average due to the tax structure he devised when he was govenor. There are more homeless people living on the streets and less help available to them. I don't think he's the hero that many believe he was.

The guy who said that is pro-America. Reagan campaigned on balancing the federal budget, but once he was in office he tripled the national debt. Concern about the debt, and the resulting drop in the value of the dollar is very pro-America.

Reagan did not bankrupt American, but he sure put us in debt. So the guy is not anti-America, but he's obviously not as assured of Reagan's sainthood as most Republicans.

I think the comment is accurate. Are the facts cited incorrect?

The author is exercising his very American right to free speech and, anyway, I do not believe that his opinion is not intended to hurt America, nor does it in fact hurt America.

Unfortunately, freedom of speech also gives nutcases like Coulter and Limbaugh the right to make up their own facts. I think the media needs to be more responsible in identifying and calling attention to misinformation and propaganda.

I respect your right to spout nonsense, but I will also call you on your lies.

Freedom of speech is not equal to being anti-american. That is the the cons way of dividing the country.

Woodrow Wilson bankrupted America by allowing the "federal reserve act" of 1913. Everyone after him just continues that unconstitutional and evil act.

No. He's just honest and well-informed.

Reagan tripled the cumulative federal debt (amassed over 200 years by all 39 of his predecessors) in only 8 years.
