Like it or not, amnesty is coming and the sooner you face that reality the sooner we can move forward. You can't deport 12 million+ people and expect them not to try and come back. Nothing short of having border guards watching every inch of the border will stop them.
McCain has served in the military and I trust him as commander in chief more than I would trust any other candidate available today. He experienced the worst of war, and I have no doubt he would do everything to end the war correctly ASAP.
He is a broken man though, and probably won't be around in 2008.

Yeah. He's pathetic. The press loves calling him a "maverick" because half the time he's a friggin' Democrat. I would never have voted for him anyway. Good riddance and wake up and smell the coffee McCain: You'll never be elected President!

He's toast! He was suppose to be a front runner but he's going nowhere but down the tubes!
He's as bad as the pro-amnesty dems. McCain didn't listen to what the American people want.

His chances look pretty slim at this point. At the moment it looks like Hillary vs. Rudy in 2008 but anything could happen between now and the primaries.

I am a Liberal, but I used to respect McCain for his steadfastness. However, when he started following Bush/Chaney blindly, he clearly was selling his soul for a 'seat at the table'.
He is a dead man walking.

If I would be McCain, I wouldn't have sold my soul to the devil (Washington D.C. Politics) and would have rested on my military laurels for the rest of my days, but no.

I doubt it. He's a war hero and he definitely loves his country. I know that especially now more than ever we need a leader. He may not be the one, but someone with his beliefs could be the ticket.
