Definitely Calvin Johnson. He has top 10 WR talent as a ROOKIE. If this is a keeper league he will go early, and if you get him dont put him on the bench and watch him progress. You have to start him. That is stating the obvious though.
If you want to take a late round flyer on someone, it has got to be Ted Ginn or Anthony Gonzalez. Gonzalez is a perfect fit for Manning and the Colts offensive scheme. As for Ginn, he can flat out fly and proved that at OSU.

I like how everyone tries to sound like an expert by avoiding Calvin Johnson, but based on his pedigree and body of work in college, how could you conceivably bet against him being the top rookie WR this year? ESPN (for what it's worth) gave him the highest draft grade in 15 years! Considering some of the hyped players that have come through the league, that in itself is quite an honor.
Also, he's playing in Mike Martz's offense, where Jon Kitna threw for over 4200 yards last year. Johnson has all the tools to excel in this system, and has the makings of a bona fide superstar.
PS- Ted Ginn sucks. He won't be worth anything when an NFL corner jams him at the line. I still can't believe Miami drafted him that high.

It's got to be Calvin Johnson. He is the only rookie WR that I think will make an immediate impact. He is perfect for a keeper league because he is going to be a WR everyone wants down the road.

I think the easy answer is also the best one. Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions. If he ever gets into camp he will be the #2 receiver and may be better than Roy Williams by week 8. But he will be a go to receiver for years to come. I also feel like Dwayne Jarrett will worth having a few years down the road. He has the attitude that you see from a lot of good receivers like Chad Johnson. It's borderline cocky but they back it up every week. Jarrett destroyed Michigan in the Rose Bowl. It hurts to admit, since I am a U of M fan.

calvin johnson by far and away. He is good enough to start from day 1 maybe. but if you looking for a project, take look at Dwayne Bowe of the cheifs, Robert meachem on the saints, Anthony gonzales of the colts, he is taking over the brandon stokley role so you might be able to start him towards the middle of the season. also Ted ginn Jr is worth a look he could turn into a santana moss type player ina year or 2.

C Johnson will be the best of the rookies, but you will not be able to draft him with a throwaway pick to keep for next year. All of the other first day WR's are pretty much a crap shoot. None of them stand out above the rest. Ginn, Jarret, Meachum, Bowe roll the dice and pick one, or just wait a few weeks into the season to pick one up. ( no one drafted Colsten last year. and if you say you did your full of crap)
