this quote,to me,says to the other person that they shud appreciate what u are presently bcuz u have the potential to be alot worse.
also,if they keep hating u now,it'll only push u away and cause u to assume that other potential of my personality.
i like the quote,i dont find it all that deep but i would like to read the other interpretations ppl have.

The quote is basically a cop out. Don't hate the person you are? Why not? Who you will be in the future is of no consequence. Essentially, but evoking that quote, one is asking for a pass on current bad behavior.

It depends on your point of view.
It could also mean something as in these examples.
Werewolf, Dracula, Dr.Jekyll,
Or a cycotic schizophrenic that realizes that a metamorphosis occurs from external forces that he or she has no control over but knows that the change occurs. That changes a friendly peace loving person into a wild raging lunatic.

I've never heard that one before, but it sounds like someone who intends to earn a worse reputation than he or she already has.
