It depends on what policy you're refering to. If it's domestic, then no. I say this because the most pressing issue currently before all of the presidential candiates is the Iraq war policy. In that case, we should strongly encourage the new regime to step up and commit itself to a more aggresive role in its autonimous authority by convincing them that national pride should motivate them to take charge of their own destiny. This accomplishes two goals: It frees up our troops to come home and decompress and it shows that the armed forces of the new Iraq aren't going to tolerate the actions perpetrated by both terrorists and insurgents.

Well, your question can be interpreted in 2 ways, so I'll pick the one you probably didn't intend.
Yes, if America shifts in strategy from what we have now, to that of the Democrat leaders like Pelosi, Reid and Murtha, we most certainly will go down the drain.
Any time you give the federal government more power over your life, such as nationalized health care, you lose your liberty.

One step in making America even better was Rupert Murdock's recent takeover of the Wall Street Journal, which he plans on making the newspaper of record, replacing the NY Times as the leading news source in America. That will bring the rest of the media back to accuracy in reporting and will therefore provide a positive influence on foreigners' perceptions of America.

No. America needs to win the war so we can have cheap oil and cheap loans from the Middle East for our economy.
Without cheap gasoline and low interest our economy will really go down the drain

Depends who you ask.
If you ask Americans they will probably say yes but if you ask all others around the world they will say no because all polling shows that the majority of peoples in the world dis-like/hate/detest/abhor (take your pick) the US and that American should keep on track with their current strategies for it is a certain road to destruction.

My life and the lives of the people around me are better now than ever before in history.
What on earth makes you think that America is "going down the drain"?

No. The US is the best country on earth. In my area, the unemployment rate is down to 3.8%. Average wages are higher than ever before. Things will continue to get better.

Both. America needs a conservative revolution. (Not a violent one) And please, don't confuse Bush as being a conservative. He's not at all.
