It really depends on if the next President is bought and paid for, bold or poll driven.

A bought and paid for politician will not lift a finger

A bold President will

1) Talk directly to the American people and tell us what needs to be done and show us his plan

2) Implement his plan even if Congress doesn't want it

3) Show us what they've done in the end

A poll driven President will

1) Send up a trial balloon of a possible solution

2) If it resonates begin to formulate the plan constantly checking if it still is giving people warm fuzzies

3) If it runs into opposition, will dump it faster than a burning bag of poop.

That's a 1 in 3 chance that something will come out of this on the immigration issue. Worse odds than a coin flip but better than nothing.

No extra enforcement is necessary than to exercise what authority that is on the law books now. The Democrats want laws that give citizenship to illegals so they have a new vote base. The Republican do not want to alienate the legal Hispanics of our nation, so do nothing against the current 12 + million illegals, that is just the Hispanic. The other 6 million illegals can ride secure until the government does what is right--the law says deport. The answer is NO.

If said president is Barack Obama, Rudy Giuliani, Ed McCain, Hillary Clinton or F*ckwad Kucinich, then absolutely not. There are only a couple of candidates that really give a flying about what we as country actually want, and out of those candidates there are even less who know how to fix it. Face it, unless one of the dark horse candidates are elected, we're in for a real sh*tstorm.

Don't vote for anyone that won't fight terrorism, deport undocumented workers, or protect our borders.

Deporting undocumented workers can be said to be more important than the Iraq War. What is decided about them will change the future of this country for decades to come. ( Over 25% of federal prisoners are foreigners. Children of illegal aliens make up over 10% of the prison population even when they are a very tiny percentage of the population.)

Congressional testimony indicates it will cost $2.5 trillion to allow undocumented workers to stay here. That means taxes will have to be increased on the middle class.

I am not sure. I am still in hopes it will not have to wait until 2008!

Let's build the fence then start the massive deportation process!

No. Once someone gets elected, he falls under the influence of special interest groups prowling the hallowed halls of government.

Nope. Many business owners in the U.S. hire illegals. Even if they don't admit it, they do. That is one way services and products stay inexpensive. Politicians are dependent on the business owners for funding. So, nope. Nobody will do anything about it. Muy bien?

No - they will only allow either a communist (Hillary) or a globalist (Guilliani) to win. I think if Paul, Hunter, or Tancredo were elected they would.
