Whatever people want to call it, it's absolutely disgusting. And dangerous.
Interesting how some on the left can spin all their nasty little slanders about Halliburton, oil, and "Loose Change" (the 9/11 blood libel), and REGULARLY compare Bush to Hitler, but the minute someone actually holds up a mirror to them and their words they say it's unfair somehow. A "misquote." Or it's "out of context." US troops are Nazis (Durbin), stupid (Kerry), or "cold-blooded killers" (Murtha). It's not that these politicians are foul-mouthed scum dripping with hatred of our fine soldiers, but that WE somehow misunderstood. Funny how Democrats never get tangled in a controversy because their words are taken as being TOO pro-American!
This is the very definition of a bully - someone who beats up on people until they fight back, then cries for Mommy.
(And it's nothing new. I used to BE a Democrat, but the party changed more than I did.
How about this "blast from the past?"

Maybe Nixon was not quite as paranoid as we've been told!)
There are ways to criticize war policy without resorting to the vicious insults that some seem to spout all too gleefully.
How would Lincoln or FDR have dealt with "patriots" such as these?
Silly me, wanting leaders who actually want to fight FOR this country, not against it.
Great question!
PS Perhaps another good question would be this: if all these statements are not evidence of a lack of patriotism, then what on Earth WOULD be??!!

Feel free to question Clyburn's patriotism, but don't you dare question mine.
It is nice to know that some people can judge half of the population on the actions/words of one misguided individual.
Can we assume that because Gulianni is pro-choice that all Republicans are pro-choice? Or that because Foley is gay that all Republicans are gay?
Must be nice to live in a world with no shades of grey.
Good news in Iraq is good news for everyone (except maybe Clyburn), especially the troops. I would rejoice if I heard that no US soldier or innocent civilian died in Iraq today. I would be happy to hear that 50,000 Iraqis didn't flee the sectarian violence last month. I would smile if I heard that Bagdad had a stable infrastructure, like they did before the war.
Victory is good news. We need to define what victory means, though, and at what cost...

Only if you aren't a Democrat who feels required to support Clyburn and other Democrats no matter what.
Clyburn was the first to betray the reality of the Democrats position. Failure in Iraq is something the Democrats need to be successful politically. They have everything invested in it. Any thinking person could see what Clyburn described before he said it, but perhaps one or two Dems who aren't total zealots will be inspired to stop drinking the kool-aid.

The problem here is the way you determine, what is patriotism. If you act against the constitution of the USA, You can fight in a war, you may get caught in battle but you are not a patriot. Many Nazi soldiers fought and died in battle but they were not patriots in the sense that they were hurting the German republic (before Hitler did away with that republic ). That is the problem with you repos, you don't respect the constitution of the USA which is the foundation to the American republic. Has McCain acted against the constitution of the USA? Yes, he has.

You're reading that the wrong way.
Of course good news from Iraq would be a problem for those congressmen pushing for withdrawal. DUH!
If the American people are given some glimmer of hope, they will stay committed in Iraq. Otherwise, the troops need to come home.
This isn't a matter of patriotism. It's practicality. If we are fighting the tide in Iraq, we need to get the heck out of there. If our efforts are making a positive difference, we need to continue the struggle.

I always have questioned their patriotism and their judgment!
No matter what happens in September, the Democrats will NOT accept that the news is good. They can't and by harping on everything that has ever been wrong and backed up by the Liberal News Media, they will salvage what votes they can. Hopefully, it won't be many.
There is a reason they are known as the "Nattering Nabobs of Negativity."

I haven't found one Democrat that I can trust. They tell people anything they want to hear to get in office and then work as fast as they can to destroy us.
What I don't understand is why so many people close their eyes to the truth. If you can't look at all sides of the candidates - there are no perfect candidates - then how can you possibly make an informed and intelligent decision.
By the way, when did the president become a Democrat? He certainly no longer represents the Repulicans.

I am continually baffled at the continued support for these seditious politicians after their unending treasonous calls for this country's defeat...moreover in light of the acknowledgment by the majority whip that upon a positive report from Gen. Petreus in September, those in his party that have called for such are in a political crack...makes me quite suspect of the constituency that supports such a treasonous ideology.

I have questioned their loyalty since they sold their party to Soros for a few million and began to cause problems for our troops over their fighting for America.
This of course is just icing on the cake.
Really I think the Dems winning control of congress in 06 was the best thing that could happen for the republicans and America. It gives the dems the opportunity to show their true selves, and so far they have not disappointed.

I encourage everyone to star this question as I have done . This needs to be right in the face of every lying liberal who has tried to deny this reality . Whether they answer it or not is immaterial . Just the fact that they'd see it and couldn't ignore it or deny it any longer would be well enough .
Victory/Progress in Iraq will spell defeat at the polls as well . I saw a large panel of mostly Democrats discussing this on MSNBC , in fact I also posted a question about it too . The Democrats themselves admitted that they will suffer greatly in the 2008 elections if this thing keeps getting better . HOO-RAH !!!!!!!
