Scenery, climate, culture, jobs, ect.... Except for the cost of living San Diego is better than Tampa in all respects; better weather, better scenery, higher paying jobs, more jobs to choose from, more diverse culture, lower crime, ect.... There is just so much to do and see in SD all the time and the climate is the best in the nation plus you are close to the mountains, deserts, LA, Orange County, Mexico, Las Vegas, and the rest of CA. You just can't be year round sun, little rain, and temps between 65-75 all the time.

San Diego. It's a perfect climate and without the humidity, bugs, strip clubs and thunderstorms of Tampa. But San Diego is very expensive, and Tampa is generally cheap. Tampa also isn't as warm in the winter as most people who move there think it will be, it's cooler than other parts of Florida.

San Diego - no hurricanes, temperature is 72 degrees every day. Excellent Mexican food, good football team, good baseball team.

The only advantage to Tampa is that the ocean water is about 20 degrees warmer than San Diego.

I would move to San Diego, mainly because of weather. Both places can get very hot, but California is more dry heat, as opposed to hunidity in Florida, which I can't stand. Also living in southern California, it's close to everything. You can go to the beach, but be close to the mountain as well.

But I would look at other factors, too. Living in San Diego can be very expensive (I'm not usre how it is in Tampa); is there other cities nearby he would be willing to move to? And where would he be better off job wise?

I wish him luck in his search.

San Diego for the weather. And the mountains and the beaches and the beautiful women, or men, and the fact that I live here. Aways a plus.

I would move to San Diego, my reasons are;
There are alot of businesses/jobs there such as hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, bars, marina tours, sports related, kayaking, jetski rentals, fishing tours, retail shops, large corporations, college etc. The weather is beautiful, there are lots of things to do at the beach, marina, downtown at the gaslamp district, football, baseball. Your close to Rosarito, Mexico, your only 2 hours away from Orange County and 3 hours away from Los Angeles. There are also lots of available men from the college, military, businesses and tourists. Need I say more?
