Are we meant to live just to enjoy life or live to make a difference in the world? Maybe even something other than that.

I think its different for everyone. Personally, I think my life would be complete if i could know for sure I've made a difference, but I live to enjoy life as well. I don't think I could make a difference if i didn't enjoy life, if that helps at all. I mean, how many times to you seen someone in a horrible mood, just hating live, make a difference?

When you say "meant to live...", you are presupposing a Creator for only God could have given you a purpose that you were meant to live for.

If you presuppose God, then it makes sense to seek God and find out from Him what you are meant to do with your life.

When we “create” meaning for ourselves, we are really just imagining behaviors that earn us praise consistent with our capacity for deceiving ourselves into believing that the praise is an honest indicator of self worth. Living to "enjoy life" or "make a difference in the world" are just things we do to make ourselves feel better but they are just meaningless feelings.

Enjoy it to the fullest. And leave a imprint when we have gone, no matter how big or small it is, as long as one person has been moved by it. Also learn from others mistakes, saves time for you, and you will have time for more fun.

I don't know about you, but I was meant to teach children and to eat chocolate.

You will find your purpose and your strength when you see that you are in a relationship with all other living things; and that you are powerful, purposeful, and peaceful when you serve in some capacity.

If you are "meant" to do something with your life,

it means that you are not a FREE agent.

You can choose whatever you want to do with your life, you are a free person.
