There is a warning lamp lamp showing up on my cavalier once in a while, and very quickly, but it's odd. I bought it used so I don't have the owners manual, and I want to know what the lamp is. It's like, an arrow pointing down into a box with a wavy line. I think it's the low coolant light or something.

This lamp is the low coolant lamp. The sensor that makes this lamp come on is in the recovery tank. Please wait until the engine is cold to add coolant. T ake the cap off and add coolant to the tank to the full mark. That should make the lamp go out.Keep your eye on the tank for a week or so if level drops have the system checked for leaks.Hope this helps. Please be sure to use the correct coolant green or orange they dont mix well.
