To modify boots like that isn't that easy...
My g/f had a similar 'problem', but we eventually found Deliss in Kensington (not sure if they're still in business) who did them for about £70 a pair. (Most DEFINATELY worth it for at least two of the three pairs we had done...)

But, generally, I would suggest you just wear these new boots under trousers and get some MORE from eBay....
Much cheaper in the long run, so long as you can find them to fit.

Probably, but you'll need to go to someone who specializes in leather, and it's more than likely going to cost you a fortune.

I believe they can. If you can find a shoemaker in your neighboring area that is used to working with leather ask them if they can take it in for you.
