S How to hollow a lightbulb?
i removed the black metal beneath..but there is still some glass , how can i remove it or make a hole in it without breaking the glass

Scribe the bulb with a triangular file just below where the top of the metal base was, tap the scribe line and pull. The thin globe will separate from the heavier glass of the base and filament support. You'll break about 4 bulbs for each one you get right, so wear gloves and eye protection while you are doing it.

A small acetylene torch should be able to melt a hole in the light bulb. The softening effect of the heat will reduce the chance of shattering.
