Sorry.. i messed up..
So.. i have roughly a 28 day cycle.. looking at the ovulation calanders i was "supposed" to be ovulating between the 17th of July and the 21st.. Had intercourse on the 17th,19th and the 23rd. Ovulation day was meant to be on the 21st.. so would having sex 2 days past ovulation still help ? And when do you think i could be taking a pregg test ? 1st day of my last period was on the 7/7/2007.

This Saturday - Aug. 4, 2007 - would be a good time to take an early detection test. If you get a negative, wait another week if you still haven't gotten your period.

Those dates you listed were good days to try and conceive.

I wish ya the best!

I would highly suggest purchasing the ClearBlue Easy Digital Ovulation Kit which can be bought at Target for $30 instead of $40 which is at most retail shops. This Digital kit has 7 tests which you pee on every morning (preferrably in the afternoon time) and if you're about to ovulate 12-36 hours, it will show you a digital smiley face. If you're not about to ovulate, then it will just show you a circle. The test detects LH Surge which is a hormone that is at it's top peak when you're about to ovulate (release the egg). Once you see that smiley face, you should have sex within 12-36 hours. Sperm can stay in your body anywhere from 3-5 days. Obviously this depends on both partners' health also. The reason I would suggest this digital test rather than other tests in the market is because the other aren't digital. You have to kind of guess yourself by looking at pink lines...if you're okay with that, then you can purchase the First Response Ovulation Kit. It's cheaper and has more tests but it's not digital.

Check out the Clearblue Easy Digital OPK:

Also, I've read that before you have sex, it's good for the male to drink coffee about 15 min because the sperm are more "jumpy" and can get to the egg faster...especially the y-sperm (boy sperm).

Good Luck and baby dust to you!

you maximum possibly ovulate on day 14 sure, yet that egg can get fertilized for a pair of days earlier or when you ovulate and sperm can stay on your physique for as much as 5-7 days. this means which you're no longer "secure" to have intercourse until you're specific you have already ovulated days in the past. This unquestionably in basic terms grants a three day window, with reference to the three days earlier you get your next era. And once you ovulate late for some reason that month, you are able to truly get pregnant. there is not any time the place you're able to have intercourse with the assure which you will no longer get pregnant. i comprehend it is not what you prefer to pay attention, notwithstanding it somewhat is genuine. there's a sort of beginning administration that a good number of married couples use called "kin making plans" the place the female tries to make your innovations up while she is ovulating so she is familiar with while to have intercourse and not get pregnant. yet each couple i comprehend that has used this technique has gotten pregnant earlier they had to. It does not artwork. i'd re-evaluate beginning administration if I have been you. good success!!

The egg is only good for 24 hours, so sex 2 days past ovulation would not result in a pregnancy. You can take a test a few days before you miss your period, but if it's negative I'd take another one the day your period is due.

48 hours could still work it all depends really. Most docs recomend having sex every other day around ovulation when you are ttc because that guarantees that there will always be sperm there whenever the egg is released.

Take a test 14 days after ovulation and you should get an accurate result then!

Hi there,

Yeah, sex after ovulation really doesn't help. But you had sex twice before ovulation, so that gives you a pretty good chance.

Some women can test as soon as 10 days passed ovulation (not too many), some can test at 12DPO, just about everyone at 14DPO. I would try 12DPO, which for you means Aug.02. Or you can test anytime after that.

Good luck!

no, having sex 2 days after O won't do anything in terms of getting you PG. If you did in fact O on the 21st, you can take a test this friday or Sat. and be certain of accurate results.
