The Jungle ( surviving the wild ) , School clicks and groups , Work ( competition over high paid jobs , high status and being the best ) , a War or anything that has to do with being the Strongest ( only the strong survive ) , for example : a weight loss competition

What comes to mind is the Olympics, war, nature, lions, and being on a deserted island oddly enough. All of those things came to mind when I read, "survival of the fittest." Cheers!
