How do you feel about high school kids dating one another?
I'm an incoming sophomore girl this year, and I've actually always been opposed to teens dating...It seems the majority of teens who get involved in relationships, only do so for some kind of social pass time, rather than anything meaningful. And lot of the time (probably most of the time) it leads to things such as sex, which, in my opinion, is not something high school kids should be doing. Plus, I don't believe in pre-marital sex anyway.
However, I've been thinking about the whole dating thing, and my opinion is starting to sway( at least for some of the older, more muture kids)...For example, I'm very muture for my age and I like this Senior guy, who I don't know very well, but we're friends; and if he were to ask me out I'd probably say yes...I have high standards set for myself, and school is very important to me so I can't see anything too wrong with that...WELL, I'm confused!
What do you guys think about all this?

BY THE WAY...
The senior guy I like (who I think, likes me also) will turn 18 when I am still 15...Do you think that there is anything wrong with that?

You basically answered this question yourself! You pointed out the most astute observation in that it would depend on the person's level of maturity. If you believe that you could develop a relationship with the 18 year old senior that was not sexual in nature (in most states this would be considered statutory rape) and more of friendship, then there would be nothing wrong with this decision. In the end it is YOU who knows the best decision. I have learned in life, as more likely than not you will too, a good rule of thumb is to trust your gut instinct and feelings.

By law you're not supposed to do anything sexual because he's of age and you aren't. I know you're smart and you sound like it too, and you're very mature to add to it. I think you are one of those high school kids that are smarter than the average college kid! Maybe me?! Anyway, good luck and I've hopefully helped and answered alot of questions on the internet that people have. Maybe you guys should just stay friends for a while. And if things do lead to something, just don't report it. But yeah, if you're 15, it's kind of wrong because statistically 15 year olds are not mature enough to handle a serious relationship, but if you are, then I say go for it. Just make sure to concentrate on your studies too because the competition out there is getting really steep (my mom says).

Yeah I'd say so - dating isn't really all that bad, it's better than being friends, but if the school is like then damn course it'll seem boring!

Yeah he's too old for you. Dating is fine I guess as long as your legs stay closed.
