I think that they are pretty equal. A liar steals the truth and a thief takes a thing. If I had to befriend one, I would pick the thief. They just want things. But a liar steals the truth, and the truth is more important than things.

While both are pretty bad, I'd take the thief over the liar. A thief can learn to stop stealing. A liar can lie so much their lies can become their truths - they may not even realize they're doing it.

I think a thief. There is no reason for a person to steal. If you don't have money then get a JOB and quit stealing. Everyone in this world lies. The people that say that they have never lied, lied to you right there that second they said that! I can't remember who said this but I loved the quote...."Truth is beautiful by far, but so are lies."

A liar!! Atleast with a tief you know you´ve been robbed but with a liar you trust he/she is telling you the truth.

Neither,in a sense they are both sins. No one sin is greater than the other. But,if you are referring to Human nature,than of course the ladder applys..
