Who?

My point is..it's not that people don't like him, it that people don't know who he is. He's got to spend a lot more money on advertising and getting his name out there if he is planning on being a worthy contender..

Well of course he has ideals that both the Democrats and Republicans can appreciate, they're the same damn thing!

Who says we don't like him? He is definitely on my list of electable candidates. The people that DON"T like him are the media and the leaders of both political parties. He is one of those candidates that if ran on an independent ticket would sway the election (unfortunate there are so many that would vote party line no matter who was running) It would be interesting to see if he could make it as an independent since so many of us are fed up with our parties.

Because not enough people know Ron Paul.

“There are few people in public life who, through thick and thin, rain or shine, stick to their principles. Ron Paul is one of those few.”

What, in your opinion makes him a good Politician? Is it the legalize pot stance, the against the National Amber Alert stance, or his stance on letting the states support themselves.
Maybe it is getting rid of the IRS so we can't monitor what the corporations are doing? The get rid of the Dept. of Education idea so that the states can fend for themselves which would close schools in less populated states? That he voted against prayer in schools after 9\11? That he is against penalizing OPEC? Against stock holders having a say in corporate CEO salaries? Just what is it that makes him a good politician? Because he is for saving the blessed constitution that is so sacred that we have amended it how many times?

Even IFGeorge Bush told the truth, that wouldn't necessarily qualify him to be president. Lots of people-- even me (usually) tell the truth. You have to be intelligent, too. Because I have never heard of RP, I don't know if he is intelligent.

Grumpy-- what does 9/11 have to do with prayer in schools? Do you think if a bunch of Christians were praying in schools, that Al-Q wouldn't have wanted to attack us? Or do you think had the children been praying that God would have spared us (implying that it was really God doing this to us because the kids weren't praying before lunch?--if so, why are we attacking Al-Q and others if it was God's doing? I would think that would really PISS off God. I'd be pissed at you if I was God and you started killing people because I was punishing your kids for not praying at school--even if they were praying at home, by golly!)

Paul wants the government's eyes out of the corporation's wallets while keeping them in the average citizen's bedrooms.

I like a lot of things he says but he's a pacifist, and I will never support pacifists. We would be speaking German or Japanese if we had people like him in the office during WW2.

We're not the bad guy in the current war so quit making americans look bad. (And get rid of those in the military that make us look bad).
