... so why don't we just skip this campaign and make him the Nominee? The way we do it now, all that matters is donations from a bunch of fat cats. Look who we ended up with in 2000.

McCain's star is diminished, and it's doubtful it can come back. McCain's age is working against him for one thing. He is about the same age that Reagen was when he entered the White House, and the fact is, Reagen was there in body only towards the end. By the time the president is sworn in,I believe that John McCain will be pushing 74 years of age.

John McCain's supporters are thinning out rather quickly and it's difficult to raise money for his presidential campaign. All this is working against McCain, and I believe that it won't be long before he hangs up his spurs.

Truly, John McCain is a good man and a good American, but time has passed him by. It's time to select another candidate, perhaps Romney or Thompson, that is if he ever officially throws his hat into the ring.

Based on what?

If it is based on a comparison of the mastery of the English language, McCain wins hands down as opposed to who got the nomination in 2000.

The only other valid comparison is the difference in military service.

I agree, but... McCain is too moderate for the GOP. They won't nominate him, sadly. His campaign is in shambles, and I doubt he'll still be around in 2008. It's a shame because he had my vote.

I don't think Sen. McCain is the right person for the job. The right person is Fred Thompson.

McCan'ts debate platform is: He doesn't know what to do.

Is it any wonder he's out of running?
