ways we are destroying the world?

i'm planning to make a leaflet to hand out about how to save the planet. and what we're doing wrong.
i would be so greatful if you could give me some ways in which we are destroying the planet and ways to stop it.

Let's be optimistic, and call it ways we are risking destruction of the planet. Or more properly, turning it into something we can't live on. Even a major thermonuclear war probably would not actually destroy it -- blow it to smithereens.

The biggest one is the global warming everyone talks about. It's true that we have made some major damage to the ozone layer, principally with things which have since been banned in a large part of the world. But you will need a scientist for the details of that.

The other thing is considerable waste of natural resources, including fresh water, clean air, oil and gas, wood and trees, the extinction of certain species of plants and animals, and so on. These are mostly from the industrial age, and once we make the effort to clean up the exhausts from factories, cars, etc., to where we are no longer adding pollutants to the air and water in large amounts, Mother Nature will gradually clean herself up.

Some of the resources, such as wood, are renewable. Some are recyclable: aluminum, plastics, glass, paper. Clearly, we need to be more effective in recycling, including creative use of the recycled materials. Invent something that uses recycled plastic and make yourself millions while improving your environment.

We also waste energy, which causes us to go to greater lengths to find sources of energy. Again, households and businesses both need to think about what they can do to improve energy efficiency.
